A Wizard's Subterranean Laboratory
  1. A door with a sliding access panel to view the main corridor. This is the guard quarter. A simple desk and chest in a plain room with a stone floor. An aging Goblin occupies these quarters and acts as a lookout for the laboratory
  2. Guard's sleeping quarters, a bed, chest and chamber pot.
  3. This long corridor is unlit and disappears into the darkness. If they can see them, at the end of the corridor stand two statues of human guards with ruby red eyes. Along the corridor are several trapped flagstones. When they are stepped on, twin bolts of fire spring forth from the eyes of the statues, hitting any characters in their path.
  4. A filled storage room for spell components and research tools. Some boxes, one filled with simple dry components, some with more exotic goods. Some boxes are extremely unstable! A Flameskull patrols the corridor outside this room with instructions to attack anyone who opens the doors.
  5. The necromancy room. A large stone altar/slab acts as the centrepiece. To this church / surgeons room. All around the room are items of undead or humanoid remains. On the slab lies a half-finish Flesh Golem It moans and writhes and attacks if it is able to. If characters are out of reach, it throws items and drags itself off the slab to attack. There is bottled lightning on the shelves.
  6. The body store. Bits of bodies are piled up in here, a disgusting pit of horror. A Crawler has access to this room via a hole high up in the ceiling and feasts here.
  7. The summoning circle. This is one of the two main labs. A large circle is inscribed on the ground and is used for many spells including summoning, protection, and power amplification.
  8. The wizard’s study. A continual light spell illuminates this room. A desk and bookshelves line the small chamber.
  9. The animal lab. Supplies for experimentation on creatures and animals are here. 5 large cages line the room with space for a medium creature in each. A series of levers on the wall open and close the cages. Behind a door is a teleport circle that offers two-way travel to the wizard's tower.

  11. Ice lines the floor outside this room. Inside it is a giant meat locker. Carcasses and other frozen goods are stored in here to feed the animals. An Ice Mephit keeps the room cold.
  12. This is the dry goods storage for the animal food.
  13. The room contains a rope pulley operated lift for getting animals in and out. It surfaces in a guarded room in the tower.
